Mental Health Counseling and
EMDR Therapy

I use EMDR Therapy, (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), to lessen anxiety, traumatic memories, and phobic responses. I have also found it to be very helpful to clients with depression, self-esteem, and body image issues.

EMDR uses eye movements to reprocess thoughts, feelings, and body sensations that block emotional healing. It is believed that EMDR may access the healing processes of REM sleep.

EMDR is highly recommended by the Department of Veterans Affairs & Department of Defense for the treatment of trauma. It has also received a high level of recommendation from the American Psychiatric Asssociation.

In addition to EMDR, I also use other therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Therapy, as well as Creative, Spiritual, Strengths-Based, and Existential approaches.
